With so many positions open on Black Monday around the NFL, the Atlanta Falcons will have a lot of competition for head coach and general manager candidates.

The Atlanta Falcons do not have a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft, and they currently don't have a general manager to make the selection. Team owner Arthur Blank dismissed both head coach Raheem Morris and GM Terry Fontenot following the team's 8-9 finish.

"The Freddy Peralta talks are about to resume in earnest. Both New York clubs, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox are among the teams showing interest," Sammon and Rosenthal wrote on Monday. "Some low-revenue clubs that can absorb Peralta's $8 million salary are in play as well."

The Atlanta Falcons end the 2025 season with only eight wins. At 8-9, they held the No. 13 overall slot in the 2026 NFL draft, but traded it to the Los Angeles Rams during the 2025 draft.
